Join us to explore the rich history and archaeology of Ontario, from prehistoric village sites to War of 1812 battlefields. On our journey we will meet with historians, archaeologists and native people at a variety of archaeological sites, museums, and interpretive centers. Some of the sites we will visit include Old Fort Erie, Fort George, the Museum of Ontario Archaeology, Sainte-Marie among the Hurons Mission site, Petroglyphs Provincial Park, Fort York, and the Royal Ontario Museum. We’ll also spend a night in picturesque Niagara Falls.

Join us in Oaxaca, Mexico during one of the most unusual festivals anywhere – the Day of the Dead. Oaxaca lies in a semitropical valley surrounded by the peaks of the Sierra Madre del Sur. The city’s architecture reflects its rich Spanish Colonial and modern history. Vast ruins of Ancient Mixtecan and Zapotecan civilizations lie just outside the city. Oaxacan archaeologist Dr. Jeffrey Blomster will accompany us on our trip.
